The students have cabin fever. :) Due to the air quality issues, they have been confined to the building all day today and are ready to burst into the open air. Soccer is cancelled as a safety precaution, but volleyball team members will practice in the gym.
Hot lunch forms went home today and are due back by Thursday, 9/27--late orders are not accepted. Also, the hot lunch day has been changed to Wednesdays for this school year. Just FYI.
Since some of the students are struggling to remember PE uniforms, I thought a reminder would be in order. PE is now Monday, Thursday and Friday each week. The sixth-graders need to have shirts, navy or black shorts, and athletic shoes at school for PE in order to receive full points for the class. I'll let you know as soon as the BLS PE T-shirts arrive.
Speaking of uniforms, some of the kiddos have been confused about shirt colors. The acceptable standard of dress colors for polos are red, white, pale pink, pale blue, navy blue and forest green. Also, french blue (an older standard of dress color) is still OK. Pants may be khaki, navy or black. Be sure to check your handbook for additional information.
