Today was the Kindergarten Teddy Bear Picnic and I think the middle school students enjoyed it as much as the Kindergarten children! I must say, those teddy bears did a number on our classroom. :)
This morning in math, we went over our chapter review from yesterday. The students did very well and I think they are definitely ready for the test tomorrow. We practiced going to the online textbook (see blog for user name & password); however, we discovered that the interactive practice tests are not compatible with our iPads. Fortunately, we were able to login on my laptop, so the students spent some time practicing as a group. The 6th graders will be able to access the practice tests using their home computers. I really recommend this method of preparing for chapter tests.
Many of the 6th graders have completed all or most of their memory work for month! Hooray! Please check with your student, encouraging him/her to not leave memorization for the last moment--that would be a really scary scenario.
Important Dates: Fall Fest registrations & shirt orders are due tomorrow, 9/25. Fundraising packets are due Friday, 10/11. For more information, see today's email.
Our soccer and volleyball teams have games today, so good luck Eagles. :)
