Had a delightful time with your 6th Graders today!  During literature, we worked on our chapter 6 & 7 responses and began reading chapters 8 & 9.  The students were really on task for the entire period.  Then, at lunch we tried a new routine--optional eat with a friend on Fridays.  I'm pleased to report that the experiment was a success.  Monday-Thursday we will still be sitting with our assigned groups.  After lunch, our 1st Grade buddies came down to our classroom for reading partners.  We ended our day exploring a couple of websites to learn more about the electromagnetic spectrum.
