It was so good to be back in the classroom today! We started our day with a concert by the Concordia University Wind Ensemble. In addition to hearing several pieces, we had an opportunity to learn about the various instruments in the group. Then, after lunch Officer Meyer and Detective Pochert talked with the 5th through 8th grade students about internet safety and cyberbullying issues.

Literature: Read ch 7 in class (SSR) today; read through ch 12 for Monday.
Writing: No assignment

Grammar: No class today--Internet Safety/Cyberbully assembly
6th Science: Discussed research plans for engineering and science projects
7th Science: No class today--Internet Safety/Cyberbully assembly
8th Science: Intro to Energy--In-class notes and activities
Research Skills: pp 84-85 due 4/9
Ongoing Projects: 6th and 7th just began planning their science and engineering; final project
reports will be due 5/20 and presentations will begin 5/27
