One MAP test down and one to go! We will take the reading test on Wednesday morning, so please be sure to get enough rest and good nutrition so you can do your best.
As of today, the 6th grade class has raised $387 towards our goal of $1700 for Fall Fest. That means we have $1,113 to go before we qualify for our ice cream party! Fall Fest is a great opportunity to raise pledges from friends/family who might not have other opportunities to contribute to our school. Fall Fest is BLS's only major fundraiser of the year and provides funds for school projects which directly impact our students. You guessed it--I'm making a pitch for our Fall Fest! If your student hasn't had a chance to raise any pledges yet, I'd encourage you to set aside a small amount of time this coming weekend to perhaps check out your neighborhood, or maybe to take your packet with you to church. :) Also, have you signed up to run/walk yet? All of the registrations are online this year.
Hot lunch forms are due back Wednesday (9/24). Late orders cannot be accepted.
Friday is our field trip to Heritage Days at Sacajawea Park. Students should bring a "brown bag" lunch to eat at the park. We will be back to school by 3:00 PM. A big thank you to all the parent drivers.
