Tomorrow we will have our 6th grade math performance task testing. The students will eat lunch early with Mr. Haynes and have a longer recess. Then, we'll start our testing at 12:00 sharp. As always, students may bring a water bottle and healthy snack for our testing break. Please do not send candy or sugary items for the snack time. Also, since our test is in the afternoon, it is really important for the kiddos to have a healthy lunch.
During Christian Studies, we departed from our planned lesson and spent time talking about original sin and its consequences, and focusing on Jesus's redemptive work on the cross. Works vs. grace was a big part of the topic, along with what it means to trust in Jesus as our Savior. The students had lots of questions, some of which were really deep. I was impressed with the kids' questions, as well as with their responses. You might want to continue the discussion topic with your student this evening. We have some serious thinkers in our class!
