This week has flown by, and I can hardly believe tomorrow is Friday. We have been busy in 6th grade. During literature, we worked on our "comic book illustration" for part 2 of Treasure Island. Then, we continued working on our group projects in science. Afterwards, we basically completed our fall testing in PE. The students are looking forward to playing some fun PE games now. :) The students managed to get about 20 minutes on the computers to continue writing their VFW essays. Last, we began the lesson on Isaac and Rebekah in our Christian Studies. This lesson ties in nicely with the 6th commandment, too.
Tomorrow, our volleyball team will be traveling to a tournament and we wish them lots of fun, as well as safe travel. Tomorrow is also a free dress day--lots of excited students! On Monday the Pacific Science Center will be here, along with Lutherhaven. One last reminder, there will be no school on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday next week as the teachers will all be at the Northwest District Conference in Oregon. Enjoy the few extra days off. :)
