Wednesday's News

Today, our chapel speaker was Pastor Robert from Uganda.  It was interesting to learn what's happening at the Fountain of Hope School and see how God is working.  Pastor Robert spoke to us about God's plans for our lives and how He uses difficult situations for our good and for accomplishing His work.  Later in the morning, the 6th and 7th graders had some special time with Pastor Robert to ask questions and learn even more about the school and Pastor Robert's ministry.

Fall Fest is approaching quickly!  We need a few more volunteers to help at the bounce houses, so if you love to watch happy, bouncing children, this is your chance.  :)  The number of bounce houses we can host is entirely dependent on the number of volunteers we have to help supervise, so please let us know if you can help out for an hour.  Thanks!  Fall Fest is one week from Saturday on October 13.  Also, be sure to come to the Spaghetti Feed on Friday night, October 12.  The final date for race registration and shirt orders is October 7, and you can register online at the blcbls.org website.

Tomorrow is picture day at BLS.  Student packets were handed out today and need to come back to school tomorrow.  There will probably be a few extra packets in the office tomorrow morning.  As a reminder, students need to wear standard of dress.  Also, student ID cards will be printed and distributed.

Last, but far from least, tomorrow night from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM is our annual LEST information night.  If you've never been to LEST, this is where you'll learn everything you ever wanted to know about our Lutheran Elementary Schools Tournament at Concordia University in Portland, Oregon!  The teachers/coaches will have sign-up sheets and information handouts for the various competitions.  Students need to have parents present in order to sign up for LEST events.  See you there!
