Wednesday's News

Today was chapel--always a treat!  Between hunting for figurative language in our novel, practicing capitalizing proper nouns and continuing to work on our Mars settlement models, we had a very productive morning.  One of our favorite brain-challenging activities this year has been Plexer puzzles.  The students are becoming very good at decoding the words, numbers and symbols, so today, we tried our hands at creating original Plexers to share with our classmates.  What fun!

Tonight is the Sports Awards celebration for soccer and volleyball.  Tomorrow we'll pack shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child.  And, on Friday, we have our Veterans' Day assembly at 2:00 pm.  Also, music tryouts for the Christmas program are tomorrow, with drama tryouts on Friday after school.  There's never a dull moment ...  :)
