Happy December 12th! Mr. Haan came on the intercom today at 12:12 PM and we had a chance to cheer at 12:12 PM on 12/12/12. :) Of course, he reminded us that the next similar opportunity won't be for a long, long time!
Today in chapel Pastor Berry reminded us how God loves a cheerful giver and what a blessing it is to be able to give to others. What a cool way to make the world a better place and reflect God's love to others. Thanks for those inspiring words, Pastor Berry.
We continued to decorate our graham cracker houses (and other masterpieces). Tomorrow will be our day for finishing up our creations and putting them on display. If you get a chance, stop by our room on Friday and take a look at the students' handiwork. Now we will begin writing our stories which will connect with our creations.
We have decided on some of the basics for our Christmas party on Thursday, 12/20. Our day will start with chapel and singing, then we will have our party in our classroom--we'd love to have you join us. :) The students have settled on a White Elephant gift exchange and will also be bringing an item of nonperishable food for the food bank. We started talking about food and a signup list will be going around tomorrow. I'll keep you posted (no pun intended!).
BLC's advent service is tonight at 7:00 PM and we'd love to have you worship with us. :) Have a great evening!
