We finished off National Lutheran Schools Week this morning and our room was filled with superheroes. There were times when I had a hard time keeping a straight face while giving instructions. Hats off to the 6th graders for some very original, humorous outfits.
Since today was an early release, it was also a "wacky science" day. In 6th grade we learned about colloids. Also, we experienced the difference a little NaCl can make when added to crushed ice. In addition, we created one of our favorite colloids--ice cream! Why not ask your student to share the science behind what we were doing this morning. Most of our results were delicious. :)
