Thank you for your prayers for my husband's recovery. He's doing very well and not missing his gallbladder at all! Mrs. Courtney and Mrs. Haan did wonderful jobs as substitute teachers for our class--a big "Thank You" to both of them.
Time is marching on and we are down to the final two weeks of this school year. Personally, I am amazed at how fast the year went. Pretty soon, my 6th graders will move on up to 7th grade and new challenges.
Please mark the following dates on your calendar and plan to join us if your schedule allows:
- 5/29: Volunteer Recognition Chapel (8:35 AM)
- 5/30: Class DC Trip Meeting (6:00 PM) and BLS Band Concert (7:00 PM)
- 5/31: Move-Up Day (our 6th graders will spend some time learning about 7th grade)
- 6/3: Awards Assembly (afternoon, time to follow) for SOAR, Honorable Mention, Honor Roll, and a number of other end-of-year awards
- 6/5: 8th Grade Graduation (7:00 PM)
- 6/6: School Picnic (early release)
- 6/7: Closing Chapel & Kindergarten Graduation (dismissal ~ 10:30 AM); summer vacation begins!
