Today we started sharing our response projects for Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry and I was truly impressed with the creativity and excellence of the students' work. We still have about five presentations which we will share tomorrow. Nice work, 6th graders!
I hope you can join us for a Washington DC trip meeting at 6:00 PM tonight. Trust me, it's not too soon to begin planning. :) The 6th and 7th grade classes will be together for the first portion of the meeting and then we'll split into grade-level groups for further planning. Of course, I hope you can also stay for the BLS band concert. I heard them practicing this morning and they sounded great!
Many of the 6th graders took advantage of the grace period to turn in incomplete assignments or "redos" and I'll have those grades into the Gradelink program tonight. Also, the majority of our class members completed their Apostles' Creed memory assignment. :) You may have noticed that Gradelink is currently locked. Because we are entering final 3rd trimester grades and preparing report cards, it's not possible for school families to access the portal. If you have a grade question, please feel free to email me and I'll do my best to clarify any questions you may have. :)
