Yes, we survived our last full Friday of the school year!  This morning we had our "fly-up" to 7th grade and the students are so excited with next year's prospects.  When I asked them what they were looking forward to the most, the two big winners were iPads and gender-separate PE.  :)

If all goes well, I don't plan on any homework assignments between now and June 3.  Instead, we will be focusing on in-class activities--just in case you were wondering.  Also, we have finished our memory assignments for this term.

Next week promises to be busy, so please mark the following events on your calendar:
  • Monday, 6/3:  Awards assembly (Honor Roll, Honorable Mention, SOAR, etc.)
  • Wednesday, 6/5:  8th grade graduation at 7:00 PM
  • Thursday, 6/6:  School picnic & potluck lunch (early release)
  • Friday, 6/7:  Closing chapel & Kindergarten graduation (~10:15 release)
Literature: Finish presenting literature project on Monday
6th Science: (Fly-up Day Activities)
Christian Studies: Memory quiz today; finish positive comment labels
English/Writing: Be prepared to share Prof. Templeton stories on Tuesday
Social Studies: Poster due Monday
Math:
7th Science: No assignment; completed bridges due by Wednesday
8th Science: Assemble Viking rocket for Monday
Music: No assignment (Disney's Fantasia 2000)
Elective (Creative Writing): No assignment

Ongoing Projects: 2-Dimensional Poster-board Human Skeleton (in-class project)
