Yesterday was a great day for the track meet and Bethlehem's students!  Congratulations to all the 6th graders for their hard work and cooperation.  :)

We are working on a "positive comments" project as part of our emphasis on teamwork, so today we practiced telling a classmate something positive that we appreciated about her/him.  This task was harder for some students than for others, but, with practice, I'm hoping it will become much easier.  We are focusing on specific characteristics such as friendship, kindness, encouragement, etc., rather than statements like "You're awesome." 

Tomorrow is a free dress day.  :)  Also, after school we will have our "Meet the Author" event.  The students may create ice cream sundaes ($5.00) and then have an opportunity to meet with a local author from 3:45-4:45.  This activity is a fund raiser for our 8th grade class.
