Tomorrow is morning chapel--about 8:40 AM. We will be honoring our volunteers and SOAR awards will be handed out afterwards. I hope you can join us.
I am so blessed! The kiddos pulled off a fun surprise party today--I can't believe they've kept this secret for over three weeks. It really touched my heart :) At various times I've told them they are bright and creative. Now, I'll have to add "super sneaky" to that list of adjectives. They are very flexible, too, because the original time was changed at the last minute and they pulled it off just beautifully. I am going to miss these guys.
Also, the students were just terrific on our class trip. They were engaged, fun, and ready for anything the Aquarium and OMSI had on the list. We shuffled our schedule just a bit this year and I'm pleased with the way it worked out. The students had fun on our tour of the Aquarium and also really liked having some time at Risley Park before going to OMSI for our Sub-In. Onboard the sub, the kiddos were very cooperative, asking good questions and following directions during our tour. The girls were especially lucky as we had a retired Master Chief in our group. He had served on three submarines and had lots of fun facts and stories to share with us. Once again the OMSI staff commented on how much they enjoy hosting our Bethlehem kids.
