Monday's News

Our locks arrived!  The students are both thrilled and frustrated with their locks.  :)  I think most of the kiddos were feeling much more confident opening their locks by the end of the day.  The teachers have a master list for those sixth-graders who forget their combinations.

Tomorrow is Math MAP Testing for our class, so a good night's sleep and nutritious breakfast will be very helpful to the students as they try to do their best.  A fun fact for the testing is our class received permission to chew gum while testing--the sixth-grade debate students made a good case for their assertion.  Of course, we discussed the responsibilities attached to the privilege.

We have a small schedule change for our PE class.  Originally, we planned to have PE on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.  We ran into a slight glitch with our Wednesday class, so our new schedule will be PE on Monday, Thursday and Friday.  Also, the because lock distribution and practice ate into our PE time today, we will have our official PE class tomorrow.  Students need shoes, shorts and shirts at school for tomorrow's class.

Have a fun evening!
