Tuesday's News

It was a great day in 6th grade!  We finished our MAP testing for the fall--congratulations, students.  :)  In addition, we enjoyed a chapter in our read aloud during literature, learned some interesting facts about the sun in science and threw in a make-up PE class for good measure.  Since we'll soon be timing our mile for fall testing, we are spending lots of time running!

In religion, we assigned our parts for the sixth-grade chapel drama and did a run through.  The students are coming up with some terrific suggestions to enhance our presentation.  If you can, why not join us for chapel on Wednesday, 9/26.  I'm sure you'll enjoy the lesson.

By way of reminder, Wednesday PE is now Thursday PE, so the students need to have their PE uniforms at school on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays.  I'm expecting our shirts to arrive before the end of the month; in the meantime, other shirts are OK.  Students still need to wear navy blue or black shorts and have athletic shoes for running.  Some 6th graders are struggling with remembering PE clothes--especially shoes.

Best wishes to our soccer and volleyball players during their scrimmages today.
