It's Thursday ...

Today was a giggly, energetic day in 6th grade. :)  We started the day off with our Fall Fest bags--what fun!  The students were excited with their shirts, race packets, "freebies" and other goodies.  If your student signed up for a race, he or she should be coming home today with a blue BLS fall fest tote bag filled with race stuff.

Tomorrow students may wear their Fall Fest shirts rather than the usual standard of dress tops.  However, pants/shorts/skirts still need to be standard of dress.  We are going to have a green classroom tomorrow!

Yes, we did actually accomplish a good deal of work today.  :)  We read the remaining two chapters in Part Two of Treasure Island.  The Captain, Squire Trelawny, Doctor Livesy and Jim Hawkins have just discovered that most of the crew are "gentlemen of fortune" and our heroes are outnumbered roughly 3:1!  In English, we practiced our writing fluency with a story starter activity--we have some very creative minds in our class.

Have you bought your ticket for the spaghetti feed tomorrow night?  It's not too late.  Why not join us for some fun, yummy food and a silent auction?  Spaghetti will be served from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM.
