It was great to be back today, although I kept thinking it was really Monday!  In science, we worked on our group-planned labs.  Most of the students remembered to bring their materials, so the majority of the groups are finished and ready to create lab reports.  Also, in writing we continued to work on our prewrites for "How-To" essays.  The studets are moving from a basic brainstorm list to an organized outline which will guide their initial drafts.  I'm not sure they believe me, but I've assured them that these tasks are all going to be helpful as they plan, carry out, and report on their individual science investigations.  :)
